New Zealand with Historical 1:1 Draw against World Champion Italy New Zealand caused shock in South Africa after ending its game of Group F of the 2010 World Cup with Italy in an unexpected 1:1 draw.
Managing to score a goal against the 2006 FIFA World Cup champion was New Zealand’s biggest success in its football history.
The New Zealand’s Shane Smeltz scored the first goal in the 7th minute. The Italian Vincenzo Iaquinta scored the second goal in the 29th minute.
For now, Paraguay holds the first place in Group F with 4 points, followed by Italy and New Zealand with 2 points. Slovakia ranks last with only 1 point.
In the last games within the Group, Slovakia will play with Italy, and Paraguay will complete with New Zealand.
