Bulgaria Sign Key Social Policy Memorandum

Bulgaria's Social Minister Hristina Hristova signed Thursday in Brussels a social integration memorandum between Bulgaria and the European Union.
On the document's basis after becoming EU's full member, Bulgaria is to receive from the European structures funds EUR 2,3 B as an aid for the social integration policy.
The memorandum discloses the challenges concerning overcoming the poverty and social isolation. It also presents model decisions and identifies key political issues for further monitoring.
The memorandum was prepared by an intergovernmental working group from the Bulgarian Social Ministry with the support of the experts from the Directorate-General for Employment and Social Affairs of the European Commission.
The memorandum is one of Bulgaria's engagements over the "Social Policy and Employment" EU negotiations chapter. |
